This information is presented by the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment

Per C.R.S. 25-1.5-110,  the Retail Marijuana Public Health Advisory Committee was appointed to review the science of marijuana-related health effects. The committee is responsible for reviewing the current scientific literature, summarizing the evidence, and translating the evidence into public health statements and recommendations that everybody can understand.

The committee developed a systematic, unbiased criteria for selecting and evaluating studies to determine the weight of scientific evidence for marijuana health effects.

Smart Snacks!
On July 1, 2014, federal guidelines regarding nutrition standards for all foods sold in school, enacted by the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010, went into effect. All schools enrolled in the National School Lunch Program must comply with the nutrition guidelines which includes the guidelines for competitive foods.

National PTA—in collaboration with LifeLock—has announced The Smart Talk, a new interactive online tool that lets parent-child duos set ground rules together about smart digital habits. With The Smart Talk, you can create a customized, personalized technology agreement with the kid(s) in your life. It all starts with creating your ground rules. Give it a try and then help us promote it by sharing #thesmarttalk on social media and within your PTA networks.
